The penultimate round of the Grand National Cross Country was held at the Summit Bechtel Reserve in Glen Jean, West Virginia for the Mountaineer GNCC. What is normally used as a scout camp, was turned into one of the most technical course of the year, while also being one of the riders favorite tracks of the 2019 season. Eight riders in the top 35 put in strong performances on the day. The final round will be held October 26th and 27th at Ironman Raceway in Crawfordsville, Indiana, for the Ironman GNCC.

Shelby Turner made the trek down from Canada to race the WXC class in the AM race. Turner would come back from a crash on the start to take 6th.

Brody Johnson with a top 5 start in 250A.
Johnson would take 3rd in 250A, as well as 3rd in the overall amateur standings.
Jayson Lipscomb would be up front all day in XC3, eventually taking the final podium position.
Evan Smith would fight through the pack in XC2, making his way into the top 5 before a hard crash left him with a damaged bike. Smith would take 7th in XC2.
Jake Froman would take 2nd in XC3 on the day.
Cope Beckert came up just short in Open A, taking 2nd for the afternoon.
Triston Landrum made the switch to the Open A class, ultimately taking 5th in his first 3 hour race on a 450.
